Meet the FOUNDER
REPPD is the brainchild of Kate Lennon, a comedy industry powerhouse with over 15 years experience spanning comedy and entertainment. With an impeccable reputation for discovering rising talent and forging powerful industry connections, she is a trusted expert known for her successful track record, sharp insight, passion for comedy and innate ability to bring out the best in every talent she works with.
-
Kate’s love of comedy began young when she was introduced to classic radio and TV comedy such as The Navy Lark, Round The Horne and Blackadder. She received formal training in Drama and Theatre, culminating in a Master’s in Directing with distinction from the University of Kent. She performed her first stand-up gig alongside The Noise Next Door and housemate, Laura Lexx, and quickly set her sights on a career in TV and comedy.
After starting in recruitment, where she was trained in sales and negotiation, Kate broke into television as a runner at Zodiak Media and Bwark! Productions, working on projects including The Inbetweeners Movie, Drifters, Spy and Cardinal Burns, and analysing scripts for Tiger Aspect. She was fortunate enough to attend the 2011 British Comedy Awards, and seated amongst her heroes Victoria Wood, Rik Mayal and Simon Pegg, she cemented her ambition to build a career in comedy. She returned to the stage with Soho Youth Theatre and co-founded the award-winning sketch group the Kitten Killers, who performed nationally and enjoyed a successful 2014 Edinburgh Fringe run.
Kate went on to become Senior Comedy Producer at Funny Women, delivering 150+ live events annually, including workshops, conferences, previews, and the Funny Women Awards. As a freelance producer, director, and comedy consultant, she worked on numerous comedy projects, including an iTunes-featured radio show and podcast, Baines Plus One, and served as Associate Comedy Producer for the Bernie Grant Arts Centre. Kate is a trained technician working for The Boat Show and on various Edinburgh productions. Drawing on her directing background, Kate has directed several award-winning comedians and multiple Edinburgh shows and produced the late-night sell-out Edinburgh Fringe hit 2 Girls 1 Cup of Comedy.
In 2018, Kate joined UTC Artist Management as its first employee, immersing herself in the UK live comedy circuit, but was quickly promoted to Talent Manager representing standout acts including Toussaint Douglass, Ria Lina, Thanyia Moore, Stephen Bailey, and Ola Labib. The role brought together everything her career had prepared her for and she has since built a strong reputation as an inclusive, trusted advocate for comedy talent, securing major TV bookings such as Live at The Apollo, QI, Mock the Week, and Have I Got News For You; judging major comedy competitions including the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year, Sketch Off, and Old Comedian of the Year (2017–present), training with META; contributing to academic comedy research and appearing on national and local radio as a reputable comedy industry expert.
